Becoming a Resident

We understand that becoming a resident requires a period of adjustment for both the family and the individual. Therefore persons served will be continually nurtured and provided additional support during the transition phase. Eligibility criteria mandates that potential residents be ages 18 & up. Potential residents will have a diagnosis of Intellectual Disability dually diagnosed with an Intellectual Disability coupled with a mental health DSM IV recognized diagnosis. KBHS accepts private or Medicaid Waiver funding. Contact us for a tour and full review of services!

Teach and provide support with

 Social interaction skills

Skill Building Activities, Behavior Modification Plan implementation and much, much more 

Free Membership to City of Norfolk recreation facilities

(after 60 days)

Provide Transportation for

  • Dr. Appointments
  • Work/Day Support
  • Special Olympics
  • Community Outings
  • Shopping and many other places
